When Rose and Bob Augustyn opened their popcorn shop in downtown Greenville, South Carolina, they didn’t know the first thing about the popcorn business – much less retail merchandising, product packaging and labels. But like true small business entrepreneurs, they saw an opportunity when they were visiting friends in Greenville. Despite a burgeoning downtown Main Street, there were no popcorn shops. So armed with little more than their passion for popcorn and sheer tenacity the couple pulled up stakes in their home state of Illinois and moved to Greenville to open up Poppington’s Gourmet Popcorn.

Today, Poppington’s offers its customers more than 75 varieties of flavored popcorn, including a growing corporate gift business.
