Custom waterproof labels are ideal for food products, bottled beverages, essential oils and CBD oils, lotions, liquid soaps, shampoos, and conditioners. In wet or adverse environments, keep your product labels looking pristine with waterproof materials, heat-resistant adhesive, and stable inks protected by durable laminate. White plastic, clear BOPP, and vinyl are all popular material choices. Choose from a variety of shapes and sizes, or create your own die cut for a custom shape.

If your labels will be applied to products that are used in wet environments like a shower, near a sink or outside, you need a true waterproof label. Water-resistant labels are better suited for environments that are exposed to moisture, but not in direct contact with rain or oil. Waterproof labels ensure that your labels stay secure and don’t fade or smear.

What size label you need depends on what you are sticking (applying) your label to.
No product is a one size fits all. Creating a mock-up label is the simplest way to see what size will work best for your needs.
Here’s how:
To determine your label size, follow these simple steps:
1. Take a piece of graph or printer paper and wrap it around your product.
2. Make tick marks where you want label to be.
3. Cut the paper down to size and wrap it around product again.
4. Repeat until your prototype is the perfect shape and fit.
5. Measure the width and length of mockup label in inches.
And you’re done!
We have two options to choose from: gloss and matte. The good news is that both options are completely waterproof!
If you want a super shiny finish, opt for a gloss finish.
If you want a soft-touch, understated look, choose a matte finish.
You may have come across the terms waterproof and water-resistant when researching the best label material for bath and beauty. While you may see these terms listed together, they are not interchangeable, and knowing the difference will help you decide which material will perform best for your bath, body, and cosmetic products.
A truly waterproof label is made of plastic or vinyl material, with an over-laminate (either glossy or matte) for even more protection. These materials will shield against water, and protect the label from shriveling, curling, or peeling. After being applied to a clean, dry surface, your waterproof labels can withstand full submersion in water for extended periods of time. You can make a splash with any of our plastic or vinyl materials! Choose from clear, white, or metallic plastic options, or select a white or clear vinyl for supreme durability.
Water-resistant labels will be able to endure moisture to a degree, but not entirely. While these materials will shield against water for a time, the look and feel of the label will be affected after contact with water is made. Water-resistant materials are recommended for products that will encounter damp environments, but not experience full immersion or long term exposure to moisture. We refer to these materials as having a “wet-strength.” Avon Classic Crest, Estate 4, Estate 9, and Black Vellum all have wet strength capability.
