The material and finish you choose will give your label the character it needs and deserves, but not all materials are created equal.
Since many essential oil vials are small and narrow, it’s important to choose a flexible material with a strong adhesive. We highly recommend vinyl or plastic for essential oil products because they are flexible and usually adhere tightly to narrow tubes. Avoid paper materials, as they aren’t as flexible and will absorb oil if it leaks onto the label.
We also recommend ordering a sample pack for testing. We offer a free sample pack of label options so you can test each the material on your packaging to ensure strong performance. Having confidence that the label you choose is a good option before investing in a full print run.
Yes! It’s actually a really awesome way to save money. As long as the designs all have the same specs (size, shape, material, finish, and color option), they can go on the same order together. For example, a chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry flavor would each be considered a separate design, but can all go on the same order if the specs match.
Remember! Make sure your “Grand Total of Labels” accounts for all of the designs that you are ordering. For example, if you need 200 vanilla, 200 chocolate, and 200 strawberry labels, your grand total of labels is 600.
You can have as many designs as you would like on a single order. The first design is no charge, and each additional design $10 per design. We only charge up to the first 30 designs. After that, it’s free. Bring it on!
To determine your label size, follow these simple steps:
1. Take a piece of graph or printer paper and wrap it around your product.
2. Make tick marks where you want label to be.
3. Cut the paper down to size and wrap it around product again.
4. Repeat until your prototype is the perfect shape and fit.
5. Measure the width and length of mockup label in inches.
And you’re done!
Here are a few things to look out for when preparing your art files:
– Size of your art file should be 0.125” larger than the final cut size.
– Background color or patterns go all the way to the edge of the artwork (bleed).
– Text and design elements should be inside of the safe zone, within 0.125″ from the cut line.
– Fonts sized at 5pt or larger.
– Fonts converted to outlines, and images embedded. (We won’t see them otherwise!)
– For image files, resolution is at least 300ppi. For best quality, we recommend 800ppi.
– Files are less than 100MB each.
Our team wants to see your business succeed, and we’re committed to helping you achieve your vision. When you call us for help, you’ll talk with an Experience Team member who knows labels front-to-back, who can answer any question you throw at them.
