How do you print on both sides of a sticker or label?
We are glad you asked! Let us introduce you to Double Sided (CMYKWsubCsubMsubYsubK) digital printing. This printing option is for partial or full color printing, which is visible on both sides of clear substrates (double-sided printing). This option is only available for clear materials.
Double sided printing is perfect for windshield stickers for parking information, door stickers to describe which credit cards you accept, or door operation stickers. These style custom labels also work really well with clear display surfaces.
If this option is selected you must make sure your graphic files are setup in CMYK mode and if possible add a spot channel called “spotwhite” which contains all the areas that you want to not be see-through. Also add 4 more spot channels for the sticky side printed image. Call these “SubCyan”, “SubMagenta” and so on. If you do not know how to setup your graphic files this way you may allow our graphics team to take care of it (there may be a fee for this service).
Because our inks are all semi-transparent, in very bright light or direct sunlight, the images may be appear to be overlapping. We do not guarantee 100% opacity because of material and ink limitations. If you need to have near 100% opacity, please call us and ask for a custom solution. We would love to help you get the exact custom labels or stickers that you need to succeed.
