Frontier Label

Continue to Learn to Continue Growth

If you are not learning, you are not growing. At least, not to your potential.

A lot of us here at Frontier Label participate in some form of physical training ? whether aerobic, sports or weight lifting. We value being in good health and having fun getting there. We have some weight lifting equipment in the warehouse that folks use on breaks to stimulate blood flow or work on their fitness during breaks.

For a little while about 4 years ago, we would take a company wide 15 minute break to play an aggressive group version of ping pong or race each other pushing a pickup truck behind the building. Over time, employees would get better at the game or stronger for pushing the truck. Our bodies had to learn muscle memory and muscle recruitment for precise shots in ping pong and brute force for rolling the pickup.

Not only did we grow in our physical prowess and dexterity, but we also grew in our sense of community as a company. If we had done only the things that we were used to doing, we would have not reached a higher potential for fun and fitness.

The only folks who didn’t grow are the ones who didn’t care to learn the game or learn the technique for pushing the truck.

The same can be true of your business or craft. If you don’t take the time to challenge yourself, you will stay where you are, maxing out a lower potential. Growth through learning takes time, lots of time, doing things that you may not be able to do yet. But that should not be a hindrance for your growth. Press through the awkward stage of misunderstanding, weakness or pain. It is well worth it.

Imagine that you suddenly have a whole new market for your product. What will you do to make the most of that market? How will you know what that market means or what is possible if you don’t spend the time to learn? If you choose not to learn a new area, you choose not to grow. Growth can only happen in the areas where there is room. The best way to open up room is to learn something new.

We value growth here at Frontier, personal and professional growth alike. We take time during the week to listen to podcasts, read books, workout, discuss problems and try our hand at making blackberry jam.

How are you growing? What are you learning? Give us a call and let us know. Maybe we are learning the same things, too.

As always, we would love to help you with any questions you may have about ordering custom labels or stickers. Give us a call at 877-277-4682 or click the “Live Chat” link at the bottom of this page.
